VE (Volunteer Examiner) Session Info – Summer 2017

A VE (Volunteer Examiner) Session is the time when amateur radio license exams are given. At a WBCCI ARC VE session, tests are given for all three classes of the United States Amateur radio license. In order, these classes are Technician, General, and Amateur Extra. Higher class licenses come with more operating privileges.

ARC/WBCCI Upcoming (2017) Session:

The next planned amateur radio exam session will be given at the 2017 WBCCI International Rally in Escanaba, Michigan.

Additional details about this exam session will be made available later.

ARC/WBCCI Most Recent Session:

The most recent session was on June 30, 2016 in Lewisburg, West Virginia. Eight candidates participated and seven either earned a new amateur radio license or upgraded to a higher class.

These tests are coordinated by the American Radio Relay League (ARRL) according to the rules set forth by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
