VE (Volunteer Examiner) Session Info

A VE (Volunteer Examiner) Session is the time when amateur radio license exams are given. At a WBCCI ARC VE session, tests are given for all three classes of the United States Amateur radio license. In order, these classes are Technician, General, and Amateur Extra. Higher class licenses come with more operating privileges.

ARC/WBCCI Next (2021) Session:

The next planned amateur radio exam session will be given at the 2021 WBCCI International Rally in Lebanon, Tennessee. Dates for this International Rally are July 17-24, 2021.

ARC/WBCCI (2020) Session:

The planned amateur radio exam session at the 2020 WBCCI International Rally in Loveland, Colorado, was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

ARC/WBCCI Most Recent Session:

The most recent session was on July 24, 2019 in Doswell, Virginia. Ten candidates participated and eight either earned a new amateur radio license or upgraded to a higher class.

These tests are coordinated by the American Radio Relay League (ARRL) according to the rules set forth by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
